Supporters Stand by Clinton Amid New Allegations about his Past (and Broaddrick/Willey library tour)
KARK-TV ^ | October 14, 2005

Arkansas’ native son was in Little Rock on Friday night, bringing in the big crowds and the big donors.

Former President Clinton was the featured speaker at a banquet for the 25th anniversary of the Arkansas Land and Farm Development Corporation. Following the event, Clinton attended a fundraiser for the Democratic Party at a private home in the heights.

Mr. Clinton’s visit to Arkansas comes just days after new attacks surface about his administration. Appearing on the Today Show this week, Former FBI Director Louis Freeh answered questions about his tell-all book, which attacks his former boss, President Clinton. In his book, he writes, “Whatever moral compass the President was consulting was leading him in the wrong direction.”

"The fact of the matter is there was continuous investigations that required my attention,” said Freeh.

The Former FBI Director also alleges, Clinton, during his administration, campaigned hard for library donations, rather than pressing for terror investigations. These are allegations not sitting well with Clinton supporters.

"I figure he`s taking this opportunity for a book op,” said Arkansas Clinton supporter Virgil Turner.

News that Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick are visiting the Clinton library is also not sitting well with Clinton supporters. The women say they were sexually assaulted by the former President and they want to challenge what they say is Bill and Hillary’s carefully sculpted legacy. The women will be accompanied by Candice Jackson, author of the book, “Their Lives: The Women Targeted by the Clinton Machine.”

“I think he paid a price an unfair price for the things that came out, but I think his real legacy is what he did for the country,” said Clinton supporter Elizabeth Coffman.

Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick plan to visit the library on October 26th.

For Juanita, Clinton will be installing an ice machine in the foyer beside the Monica Lewinsky gold-plated sink (compliments of the Saudis).

I'm no Clinton fan but I still have a low opinion of people who kiss and tell.

Knew oral would be a specialty.

Cofman is partially right but his legacy will bewhat Clinton did to the country not for the country. You see, it is all about what the meaning of for is.

I take it Clinton was flying solo at the banquet and fundraiser. Do the Clintons even pretend that they're a happily married couple any more?

I think his real legacy is what he did for the country,” said Clinton supporter Elizabeth Coffman.

We hear this all the time but we never hear details. I ask friends of mine who supported Clinton to name one thing he did during his presidency and I never get an answer, NEVER. They can't think of one single thing he did. On the other hand, I can name about 10 things he didn't do (retaliate for terrorist attacks, etc) and a bunch of things he really shouldn't have done.

“I think he paid a price an unfair price for the things that came out, but I think his real legacy is what he did for the country,” said Clinton supporter Elizabeth Coffman.

Coffman has no idea how right she is--although "to the country" would have been a slightly better phraseology. And the price he paid for his indiscretions has in fact been most unfair--because people usually end up paying a far heavier price for such evil, once it is exposed. That Clinton should escape so lightly is most unfair.

What people remember is the good time nineties: the rising stock market, the falling government deficits, the strong economy, the internet boom, the feeling of boundless optimism. And Clinton wrongly gets the credit for no better reason than because he was President, even though if any politicians deserve any credit at all, it would be Reagan, the elder Bush and the Newt Gingrich Congress that came to power in '94. Mostly, though, credit should go to the American people themselves.

What is it with Dims and Clinton?? I don't get it..

I'm ashamed to say it, but I come from a long line of Dims.. Sadly, whatever alternate universe my grandmother lives in, she believes he's still her president. Yep, it must be fun where she lives... I wonder if Babs comes and sings her to sleep at night...

Oh well, back to my job of starving women, children, and the elderly and putting everyone but myself in the poor house like a good Republican... What?? You mean we don't really do that?? Oh.... I guess I forgot to come back from that alternate world she lives in... I usually only pop in for holidays when I try to switch in to better will towards men mode... Hee hee..

Thank you!!!!!! Someone on my same page.. FINALLY!!

I've been saying that everytime I hear some Dim say, "well, the economy was better under Clinton.." They usually only just stare blankly when I ask them what he did that made it so much better to them..

Did I mention that most of those people don't have jobs??

The only things that I could think of off the top of my head are:

1. Hillarycare

2. Don't ask, don't tell

3. School uniforms.

Other than that it was 8 years of photo opps.

How about those that didn't make it out of Fort Marcy Park to kiss and tell.

Come on, this guy had to keep his mouth shut, now he can bring it out to the public, and be a little more assured he won't end up as fish bait in the Potomac.
