I ran across a new report quoting German paper Bild, according to which U.S. spy satellite spotted him in N.W. Pakistan last week before the quake hit, and no sign of him since then. I am not suggesting you are saying the above is accurate (you weren't) - But that is the biggest bunch of BS I've come acorss in a long, long time -

I believe you are right. Bild is showing some of its tabloid flavor in that report.
