Yesterday I heard Bush 41 talking about the verbal attacks on Bush 43. The one thing that stuck with me was "he doesn't complain about it". Then I have see two commercials for the "Commander in Chief". In one Geena Davis whines "I can't even trust the back-stabbers" and in the second one, "I work in the corner office and I still get cornered". Other than the fact that the script is pathetic, it illustrates the "nothing is fair to me" attitude that permeates the liberal mind.
Geena Davis is a whimp.
It sort of has a "Mrs. Smith Goes to Washington" feel to it. We are to believe that Davis is the last moral person of principle left standing in DC. I don't buy it.
"I work in the corner office and I still get cornered"
should read :
"I work in the oval office and I still get cornered"
I believe that Hollywood is running this just to help Hillary. I liked Geena better in "A Long Kiss Goodnight". It would be cool if as President she was schizo.
Please don't buy it, it is a work of fiction.
It is like the programs "Las Vegas" and "Desperate Housewives". Does anybody believe that any situation could have so many drop dead gorgeous women that are smart, witty, and get along? I don't think so.
LOL. Someone actually follows it close enough to correct that quote! Thanks, I accept the correction.
I haven't watched it and won't. D Sutherland tells me all I need to know not to mention the tired premise.
Won't watch this crap for many reasons -- one of which is Miz Davis herself. Who could look at that slicked down hair and red, botoxed (ready to explode) lips for 60 minutes? Not to mention the drivel coming out of her mouth.
She sounds just like Hillary.
(sarcasm on)
oh, but wait a second, Gina Davis' character is NOT a liberal, she's an independent!!!
And yes, I think Gina Davis must have decided that her character would sound tougher if she talked like her jaw was wired shut. Pathetic show!
When they were first promoting this show, I remember some network spokesman talking about it, saying, "She's a great President...the first thing she does is pardon an Arab woman who is scheduled to be stoned to death. And I thought...we have a REAL president who saved millions of women from similar fates and freed many more. Do they really not know?
[LOL. Someone actually follows it close enough to correct that quote! Thanks, I accept the correction.]
Actually, the quote doesn't work without the amusing concept of being cornered in the oval office. I actually like that line. I also think Geena Davis is great looking...although I still have a problem with her character in that other sad movie about two women driving over a cliff to escape a world of men.
But I don't get such shows in Germany, so I cannot comment.
Please provide examples of where the show is too left wing. How does it compare to "The Left Wing"?
The odd thing....while in CA, I ran across a promo that stated "Over 26 million viewers are watching". Is that even possible in this day and age when so many are on the 'net', videos, DVD's, cable, dates, living and experiencing life. I agree with so many that the 'powers that be' are only interested in inflating this program, providing life support by any means to keep it on the air, getting the populace accustomed and inclined regarding a female president...aka Hillary (IMHO).
You have a point, but
we don't see Bush putting up
VANITIES either!
I can hardly bear to watch the clenched teeth one speak her lines.
