It takes time for people in the middle who have actually started to think of themselves as Republicans to adopt more conservative positions. Like most of us, I didn't do it all at once.




So...the Republicans have to govern like pu$$ies and nominate "stealth" candidates for judgeships so they don't lose these independant minded voters? In other words, "pi$$ off conservatives, we don't need you."

Ok. Lets watch them win in '06 without conservatives. Or will enough be stupid enough to (while still clutching their groins in pain) crawl into the polls to beg to be kicked in the teeth too?

You frame your argument so well, you've convinced me. I'm going show 'em! I'm going to stay home on election day. Serves the Republicans right. The Democrats will do a much better job of playing to Bush's conservative base.
