Some more on the Veterans For Peace and their Katrina relief grift. Here they spell out how money donated to help hurricane victims has been spent on buses for their campaign to overthrow our elected government.
These are emails collected by one of our indefatigable researchers:

Hi :-)
Jim is still at Washington D.C., 703-237-4296 (at his friends place). He will be there probably until this weekend. I'm still trying to see what we can do with the bus. We need the bus to stop this war, but we also need to work together with other people. That is where I'm at right now. We must re-group as we can't afford to lose the momentum to STOP this WAR.
Thanks,

I have lost contact with Jim and the bus. I'm not sure what he is doing now that the rally is over. Perhaps Beatriz Saldivar or Bill Mitchell know Jim's plans for the bus. It's a good idea for the VFP to use "magnetic signs" so they won't have to cover up their paint jobs in the future. Like they are doing here when they were trying to convince people in Covington that they were with the Red Cross.
So was the bus Mother Sheehan and her entourage took to Washington paid for by Katrina relief donations? It sure sounds like it.

More on the Cindy and the Camp Casey III scam.
"We need the bus to stop this war"
Do they know how absolutely silly that sounds?
Looks like fraud to me...
Someone needs to throw this twits under the bus.
Ok... I read the whole chain, but I don't see any mention of using Katrina contributions for the bus.
Those people have no morals!!!
They're deeply delusional as well as stupid.
Could this be it?
Dumb question (or at least, ignorant):
What Katrina donations? Were there donations TO VFP allegedly FOR Katrina stuff, or were they somehow skimmed off some other donation program that doesn't claim to be about "peace" or "impeachment" (e.g., Salvation Army)? Was there some official org set up by VFP to (allegedly) funnel funds for Katrina relief?
In short, is this Katrina relief officially totally separate from VFP or is it 1 of their "functions"?
Yes.
I don't know the details, for sure, but it's a small group of activists who have been raising money under the guise of "Katrina relief" and using their equipment/buses alternately for their anti-war activism and for their radical organizing in LA. I strongly doubt that they have the slightest separation of "Katrina funds" from everything else that they are doing which has nothing to do with hurricane relief. They need to be thoroughly investigated by the FBI and prosecuted for fraud if this is what it surely appears to be....
They write like they act - As a bunch of pre-adolescent crybabies whose omly reaction to anything is to wail and call names. What a joke!
See this in the original posting. The underlining was mine.
Yep! Criminally prosecutable fraud.
Probably not. They have left sanity and rational thought so far behind that they actually believe that Bush himself blew up the levies in NO because he hates black people.
Hey ... maybe they can offer to rent them out to the Mayor of NO
Very appropriate.
