The whole tone of the article strikes me as being too down on Western civilization (including the remark about genetically engineered foods) and very apologetic.
I call the extremism Islamonazism because it shares several aspects with the German Nazis (including a superiority complex, antisemitism, and brutal violence). Islamofascism is a misnomer. Islam is a political system (as well as a religion) but is their system fascist?
9-11 was a horrible series of attacks but it was a cowardly deed (I differ with the opinion of Bill Maher). The terrorists (I differ with AP and am willing to call them this) murdered a handful of people directly (pilots, stewardesses) and blindly killed thousands.
The Beslan attacks were far more brutal (longer situation and raping and murdering hundreds of school kids) yet they merit scant remembrance in the press.

Beslan did not happen here..and therefore is off the radar now..People seem to move on ...even after 911 and not recognize what we are fighting.
Abu Ghraib is more important to the press.

Islam is the religion of peace. Trust me. (/sarcasm)
The Koran tells good Muslims to slay infidels where ever they find them. I'm sick of Muslim apologists lying to me.
