Discussion of 'Team America' (From Norht Korea. credit to freeper Riley for finding this)
North Korea ^ | Sept., 2005 | North Korea

Author: J. Nelson Kwango Country: Cameroon Position: member Subject: Terorists makng fun of DPRK and Dear Leader! Message: » Reply » Edit

Comrades! I am terrored! A film has just arrived on the markets of Cameroon, this film the American Police Team or some name that is

similar. My nephew, purchased this and asked me to watch because he said is had something to do with DPRK. The shock I see!

The general, beloved general, Kim Jong Il is a puppet character in this film and speaking the most offending things! He

swears in English, kills his interpreter, and turns into a small insect at the end. They make the Dear Leader to be evil man,

and lonely man. They find risible the undying love of the Korean people? They think the leadership of DPRK and the revolution

is a joke? Forgive me for saying but makers of this film are bastard people! I denounce them and curse them! Bastard people! Can we not complain to someone about such slander? Why has not the KCNA denounced this piece of capitalist propaganda? To

think that they make light of the general and debase his greatness!

Angered

J Nelson

If you were to carefully edit it for language, dump the puppet sex, and remove some of the gore, you would have a one-hour movie that I could use to show my kids what absolute idiots the Hollywood Left are. Way too over the line of good taste, but the producers have never known where to draw that line. It was fun watching the Idiot Left get shown up for the know-it-all morons that they are, though.

The author of the original article MUST be a NK government plant. First of all, all the starving people over there KNOW what a maniac the Beloved Leader is. And secondly, to admit to having seen this movie, no matter how you demonstrate your love for the pot-bellied Leader, would earn you a quick and quiet visit from the secret police in the dead of night, followed by all your personal records being erased and your designation of being an "unperson."

Also, google "Corey Kobernik" the last one on the discussion board. There's a real hardcore marxist.

If you want a really good movie, go rent "American Treasure" with Nick Cage. Tremendous writing, edge-of-the-seat stuff. Good cinematograhy, lovely lighting.

I told my daughter she should compare "American Treasure" with "Sky Captain: World of Tomorrow." SKWOT had INCREDIBLE graphics...but the plot didn't make me actually like any of the characters; great concept, shallow writing. That's the hallmark of a really good film...the writing draws you into caring about the characters.

Yeah, I did wonder why someone from Cameroon would take the time to write "dearly beloved leader" Kim to complain.

"I feel your pain, Dear Leader". Really the pain comes from laughing too hard.

LOL! Not for kids, definitely...

I like it BECAUSE it is so un-PC and pokes fun at everyone. Not a movie for everybody.

My favorite part: Areck Bahlwin having a meltdown before he is taken ot by Kim Jong Il!

"But...But...Global Warming...Corporate America..." BOOM!
