I recall Rita being called a Mexico storm too. Go to Mexico, I'm hurricaned out here.

This is one reason why I can't go home for at least two more weeks. Rita crumpled those like they were tinker toys all over the area.

This is the scene all over the Lake Charles area roads. We used to be a woodsy kind of town.

That photo looks like an animal sculpture. Very relieved to know you and your family are safe. Have been to and through Lake Charles many times; a lovely area with lots of trees.

My BIL lives out in the country around Liberty. He's been told it may be a month before he gets power back. He came and borrowed our generator.
