Not in NC. (may have been at one time, but I don't believe it is currently)

I would carry regardless if I had to stop at one. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. (or to be beat upon by 2)

I'll be making a trip in 2 wks. and will likely use the 'facilities'.
I'll double check but I'm sure that the rest stops are posted.
