As part of a plea bargain, Tassone will spend four to 12 years in prison and pay back an estimated $2 million. If convicted at trial, he could have faced 25 years.

Where can I get a deal like that?
Lessee... he stole $11.2 million. He "pays back" (hilarious) $2 million. The assets he accumulated with the stolen money and either holds or "hid" are presumably safe.

He get to spend 4 to 12 years in jail, say 8 (for the sake of discussion)... That's one year's free room and board for each $1.15 million stolen. I would be ecstatic with a deal like that!

Where do I sign up??!!??

"Records show that Tassone and a former school official withdrew the district's money from ATMs almost every day between February 2001 and October 2002, with Tassone taking out a monthly average of $21,747"

That's an average of around $725.00 per day. I believe that most ATM's have a limit of $300.00 per day, so there had to be more than 2 people making withdrawals.

Split the missing 10 Million? or just expect monthly payments from the NEA and the DNC?"

Watch how fast he's out on parole requesting community service.

Maybe he'll be paid by prison officials to teach fellow inmates "How to Enrich Your Life Becoming An Educator."

What are the odds that he is a Democrat? I'll bet he even voted for Hillary!

It just occurred to me that the man who has been labeled "The Father of Homeschooling" John Taylor Gatto was once named teacher of the year in New York City Schools long before the clown in the story became an administrator.

Gatto left teaching because he was fed up with the system of not educating kids. I wonder what he has to say about the outrageous conduct of the crooks in the article.

Also I wonder how many new John Taylor Gattos will leave school systems, or is that too being too optimistic?

After John Taylor Gatto quit teaching, he went on to write "Dumbing Us Down" thirteen years ago.

His latest book is "Underground History of American Education."

...and the reason you brought religion into the picture was because of........?? Do you also infer that people who are not Jewish don't care about their children's education? Religion played no part in this graft. Keep to the subject and don't inject your biased views into the topic.

I'm not biased- I grew up in the area and I know what it is like. At such schools, when you go to school functions, there are more parents in the room than kids - all with video cameras.

The parents in the area value schooling highly. That is something Jewish people take pride in. Their school districts are, if anything, overachieving and wealthy because the parents are strongly involved in the children's education and will vote high budgets.

That is an observation, not bias. And keep a civil tongue in your head.

mostly Jewish homeowners ? which makes me wonder how:
Tassone
Rigano
Signorelli

etc...

were able to be in those positions.
