In advance of today's planned "massive non-violent direct action at the White House," antiwar protesters spent yesterday engaged in civil-disobedience training sessions, interspersing their seminars with diatribes against President Bush and justifications of armed resistance against American and Israeli troops.
Yesterday, at tents clustered on the Mall, many convened for seminar-style training in how to avoid conflict while being arrested. One organization, the Iraq Pledge of Resistance, spent the afternoon role-playing, dividing the group into protesters and "right-wing counter-protesters" and staging hypothetical shouting matches in anticipation of conflicts today with pro-troops demonstrators and police.

Yesterday, on the Mall, protesters had erected a papier-mache shark - painted with "Katrina" on the torso and "Iraq" and "Gitmo" on the fins - devouring Mr. Bush in effigy. "Reality Bites," read the sign beneath. At the "Palestine Tent," a protester wore a button that read "Stop Bush," decorated with blood-spattered bullet holes.

I'm curious to see what picture will accompany the story tomorrow, a 'real' one, where she has the huge Cheshire Cat grin on her face as the cops cart her off, or a phoney-baloney one of her with crocodile tears at the White House...

I find that as my patience wanes, my eagerness grows.
it occurs to me that Mother Sheehan is displaying behavior paradigms which, if displayed by someone who was NOT a darling of the DNC-MSM Cabal, would be classified as indicative of advanced Munchausen Syndrome.

Then they complain that President Bush did not get the UN's ok to invade Iraq, even though he did go and obtain a mandate that called for serious consequences if Iraq did not comply.
And then they call for the removal of Israel from "palestine"...and yet modern Israel was ESTABLISHED by the decree of the UN.
So then which is it...is it ok to go to war without the ok of congress and the UN as Clinton did? And if the word of the UN is so great, then why don't they affirm the right of Israel to exist given the fact that the UN gave it's ok? Either the OK of the UN is valuable in their eyes or it isn't...but they are not consistent...liberals are hypocrites.
I've seen it here too, in upstate NY, near Kingston. Mostly Bard College and SUNY New Paltz students. At my second Protest Warrior Op in Kingston, I was stunned to see pasty white young men and women running around with these checkered tablecloths around their heads. They were incredibly rude, vulgar, hateful and anti-semitic. When a anti-American speaker told a story of an insurgent sniper in Fallujah who escaped our troops after killing several, these vermin cheered! But we got even; they had a sign bemoaning Rachel Corrie's "murder" so we started mocking Rachel Corrie and chanted "Beware of Israeli bulldozers". One of our Protest Warriors drew a stick figure of her on the ground with the bulldozer puffing away in the distance on the back of one of our signs. This drove them berserk and some came over to our side of the street for physical confrontation--good thing the police were standing by us! Good for them, that is, we had some pretty big guys with us. Long story, sorry, but you really have to see it to believe it sometimes.
In any CW2 scenario, there will be no CW unless the domestic enemies have most or all of the weight of the fedgov on their side. Anybody who thinks it will be a snap should review their history of civil wars.
