Whittier police officers discovered more than $1 million worth of cocaine hidden in the floor boards of a car during a routine traffic stop, it was reported today.
Ceasar Najar Vojorquez, 36, of Sonora, Mexico, was tailgating and swerving through traffic in a Chevrolet Meriva when a traffic officer stopped him near Esperanza Street and Whittier Boulevard at 9:50 a.m. yesterday, Whittier police spokesman Alan dela Pena told the Whittier Daily News. A K-9 officer was called to the scene, and a drug-sniffing dog alerted the officers to the vehicle's floorboards, dela Pena told the newspaper.
After getting a search warrant, officers searched the car and found 20.5 kilograms of cocaine hidden in metal compartments under the floor mats, dela Pena said.
Vojorquez was booked on possession of narcotics for sale, and transportation of controlled substances. He is being held on $2 million bail, the Whittier Daily News reported.
Oh, not suspicious at all, weaving in and out of traffic in a car not sold in the United States. Probably had Meji plates too.
of course, the officers in the United States cannot run the Mexican plates to determine if the car is stolen, or in the country legally.
Ceasar, just doing a job Americans won't...
President Nixon was from Whittier. Maybe there is a connection?
