Is there a single line in this story that isn't dedicated to emotionalism and sensationalizing instead of reporting?

She's an admitted crack carrier.

So why not search it?

there is physical evidence the drugs were in the woman's body cavity, which would make the search illegal.

She admitted to having it on her! How is it illegal? They'd have to remove it at some point, wouldn't they?

Tell her she also gets the drugs back.
When she comes and picks 'em up, arrest her.

"Taxpayers are giving away their taxpayer dollars because their police don't know the law," said Lane.

Yep, see many stories that basically come down to this. A dumb and/or overly aggresive cop meets a lawyer and the taxpayers shell out the $$

"In the report, the officer admitted to using "two fingers" when she "pulled out" one of two small baggies from inside the woman's genital area." Searching a female crackhead should get the officer combat pay!

They're giving her $100,000 because what they did is absolutely outrageous," said Debi's attorney, David Lane.

Hey,nice work Counselor.You pick up a cool $33K for...what...2 hours of work?

And to think that lawyers in this country can't figure out why they are so completely loathed .

Cops should've taken her back to the station for a strip search. They were planning to arrest her for crack anyway.
