The WaPo would undoubtedly take the position that the worst criminal is susceptible to rehabilitaion, and that we should pay lots for it, unless, perchance, it is brought about by accepting Christ into your heart, for real.
This bozo scribe's claim that Colson was one of the most hated men in America is pure fiction. I'm sure he was one of the most hated men in the Washington Post newsroom, but he wasn't anywhere near famous enough among the general public to have such a reputation. These guys just make things up, it's all they do. It makes me feel even better about the earlier threads on newspaper layoffs.
