Pope John Paul II's last words before his death were "let me go to the house of the Father"I think that particular one is a lock.

John Paul's convalescence was hampered by "very difficult swallowing"... Poor old guy. I'm glad he's in the House of the Father now, and not suffering anymore -- though we'll miss him.
Had to laugh at the "Oh, shut up" line, Markey.
Anyone else ever think of what you'd like your last words to be? I have. We probably won't have much control over it, being half out of our minds with pain -- or delirium. Hope mine aren't hurtful to anyone -- or worse, a stream of profanities. :-(

The Pope's last words?
"So long, and thanks for all the fish."
"I'll put in a good word for the new guy."
"At least I'll never live to see another JLo movie."
"If John Kerry is a good Catholic I'll eat my hat."
"I go now to be with the Father...the rest of you will just have to wait your turn."

Bummer. I expected the Pope's last words to be:
"These are my last words!"

I wonder if Hannity was advising the Pope?

While I'm healthy, it never hurts to plan ahead. So I'm thinking of what my last words should be. Here are some of my finalists:
1. "I wish I'd spent more time at the office."
2. "Last touch!" (while tagging person next to me.)
3. "I need to talk to a member of Code Pink. That's one thing you can't do in Heaven."
