Thanks for the thread....very interesting.
I found this site a few months ago. I find it facinating. Click on "Forum," on left side of page. Click on, "Earthquake Predictions," and "Sensing and Clues."

Hopefully a crack will open and the CA legislature and 9th circuit court would fall in.

I'm moving from LA to WA next week, and a month ago a client called and said she had a dream that I was blown up in an explosion of the Cascades (her only concern was for her data on my computers).
I'll be real careful when I hook up the gas grill.

Pres. Bush had better dispatch the NG and start evacuating the West Coast right now, no exceptions. Streisand, Spielberg, Penn, Sarandon and the rest of the Hollywood Left should be relocated to New Foundland for their own safety.

Just had an earthquake here in San Jose. Woke me up.

[ "Southern Vancouver Island is sort of sliding towards the west right now. We're moving towards Japan," said John Cassidy, a seismologist with Natural Resource Canada at the Pacific Geoscience Centre near Sidney, B.C. "It's a very small amount. We've moved about three millimetres to the west over the past couple of days." ]
I see.. its time to whine for gov't grants for Siesmology and Geology in Canuckistan..
NEXT... (translation; Katrina got the sheeples attention. Money can flow like magma, these days)

Let's take this nonsense and put the emphasis where it rightly belongs:
Tremors may mean 'Big One' on its way
Let's not forget, people: every seismologist will tell you that NO-ONE CAN PREDICT EARTHQUAKES.

"Megathrust"
I'd almost be willing to start a porn company just to have that on my stationary.

Not to worry. I have it from a psychic that Seattle will not be destroyed until the Mariners win the World Series.
The geological record on the West Coast has shown that megathrust earthquakes occur roughly once every 500 years. The last one struck on Jan. 26, 1700, which leaves a window of possibility 200 years wide.
Yeah, I know. Like I said, when the Mariners win the World Series...
