Maybe you meant to reply to the original poster instead of to me (please see my comments in post #2). I don't believe the media had or should have any roll in prosecuting Berger or anyone; that's what the Justice Dept. is for. But in this case, the Bush administration let him skate.

As Bill O'Reilly often states, the powerful protect each other. It's unforgivable here, however, because Berger's acts dealt with our national security. I would have thought several years in prison would be appropriate.

Did Bush 41 forget what he said in '92?
Shame. He should know better.

Washington mutual protection racket writ large
(Let us not fool ourselves:
the Jamie Gorelick /9/11 Commission farce
required the tactit approval of Bush43)
It IS sickening.

Quite simply, Sandy Berger compromised our national security.
In a time of war.

A capital offense.

The Bush DoJ failed.

It was its duty to squeeze Berger to get the people behind this outrage.
The people who are a clear and present danger to this country.
We all know who they are.

We must clean house.
Get rid of the careerists.
All of them.

Post 9/11,
we no longer have the luxury
to coddle self-interest,
whether clinton pathological
or Bush not so benign.
