Among Voters in New Jersey, G.O.P. Sees Dead People

TRENTON, Sept. 15 - The joke has long been that dead people vote in Hudson County, New Jersey's legendary enclave of machine politics. But now the joke may be on New Jersey, according to a new analysis of voter records by the state's Republican Party.

Comparing information from county voter registration lists, Social Security death records and other public information, Republican officials announced on Thursday that 4,755 people who were listed as deceased appear to have voted in the 2004 general election. Another 4,397 people who were registered to vote in more than one county appeared to have voted twice, while 6,572 who were registered in New Jersey and in one of five other states selected for analysis voted in each state.

At a news conference at the State House, Tom Wilson, the state's party chairman, took pains to say that the analysis did not look at voters' party affiliation. He also said that the party was not accusing voters of committing fraud, suggesting instead that someone else may have exploited their names without their knowledge.

This talks to one of the problems they have: The loss of voter fraud will be a huge blow to the ratus Americanus.

Cross linking SSN with voter names would be VERY effective.
So they won't.

You are correct. I'm from PA and was a poll watcher in the last election and have written numerous letters to my state senator about voter fraud, and all I get is talk, talk talk.... no action. If only living voters, voted only one time in the 2004 election GWB would have carried PA, and probably 3 or 4 other states. I'm so angry with the pubbies for talking but not doing anything about this that I could ......

The PA GOP seems to have no interest in stopping voter fraud, based on 2004 election behavior. The blue here was based on voter fraud and anger at Bush, and they had no interest in addressing either.

dead peoples social security numbers are often the stolen numbers used by illegal aliens, and terrorists. We don't even want to protect our dead's reputation.

I don't mind dead people voting. I just hate it when they drive 55 mph in the carpool lane.

The Blue States are a lot redder than people may think...and the joke about "How come dead people only vote democrat?" wears a bit thin when these criminals are put in office year after year under these fraudulent means.

Oh boy, there go those mean-spirited Republicans again, this time trying to disenfranchise the dead! Why, this will have a disproportional effect on Democrats, it's racist!

:P

You wonder why the Supreme Court is the libs last bastion of hope.

If you purged all voter rolls then everyone re-registers you will find that Michigan, PA, Illinois, Washington State and Wisconsin are all Republican states. This scares the bejezzus out of the libs. That is why Hillary wants convicts to vote.
