I'm not really sure this belongs in breaking news...pardon me if I placed it in the wrong spot. When I googled this show that came on at 8, I found what appears to be a last minute effort to put this program together. I could be wrong, but it comes on right before Bush's speech?

The most interesting thing I've heard so far, is that Nagin and his Homeland Security man were stuck in the Hyatt, with only a laptop and no phone line...as told by Gregg Meffert, Deputy Mayor, pretty much until Nagin called the radio station and cussed at Bush.

How is it that a mayor gets holed up in a hotel with no line to the outside world, while the news media entered and exited NOLA at will? No one has ever explained this.

I surfed to Koppel's crap for a few minutes and quit when he failed to mention that the state of Louisiana kept the Red Cross and the Salvation Army from providing relief to those at the SuperDome and convention center.

Clearly it is another spin-job - Koppel whines that there was no Red Cross but fails to mention the Democrat Governor kept them out. This is a spin piece to attack Bush before the speech. Pathetic.

Ted Koppel? Isn't he the one who "interviewed" a couple of VC who remembered, to the day, an event that John Kerry - he served in VietNam you know - claimed happened while their communist "minders" stood within earshot? Is he still around trying to make news?

There was an interesting interview after the Presidents speech too. ABC had a live feed with Dean Reynolds the Astrodome with a bunch of evacuees in the Parking Lot where he kept trying to bait them.

"Do you harbor any resentment for the president for the slow evacuation? Do you think the President is sincere? Is it a little too late?"

I don't think he got the answers he was looking for because the evacuees, particularly a woman kept blaming the Mayor and local authorities.

And then they just started digging on the President for puting so much emphasis on spiritual groups. Blah, Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah, Blah,Blah,Blah.

And then that Broussard guy finnally had some good things to say.
