I have been a member of the NRA for years. I live in Maryland where we have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. I have seen VERY little the NRA has done to help us here. I do sometimes wonder what they really do! Are they like other "activist" groups who I see as their goal is to collect dues to pay for their bureaucracy? I have never been able to find just how much they spend on fighting for our gun rights. Does anyone agree with any of this?

The NRA is not slumbering on anything. All four Million of us are awake and have been watching this stuff in NO. We've also been getting word from our leaders at the NRA Headquarters. All four million of us are the NRA. I am an NRA LIFE MEMBER.

I was wondering if and when the NRA would rouse from their slumber on this... Since they weren't in Court bright and early this morning, I'd say they were still shaking off the sleep.
CNN didn't hesitate before heading for court to protect their (non-existant) right to take pictures of dead bodies they could blame on Bush. What's keeping the NRA? I'm sure they could find a citizen or three in NOLA that would like their rights protected, NOW, not next week.
