Landrieu Statement on Resignation of Michael Brown
landrieu.senate.gov ^ | 12 Sep 2005 | Senator Landrieu

WASHINGTON -- Senator Mary Landrieu, D-La., issued the following statement today regarding the resignation of FEMA Director Michael Brown.

Sen. Landrieu said:

"Michael Brown's resignation is more than understandable following the events of the past two weeks. But his action today will not alone solve all the problems that plagued the federal government's response to Hurricane Katrina and the devastating floods that followed the levee breaches. The people of our nation, and in particular, the Gulf Coast, deserve and demand full accountability for this administration's missteps in protecting and helping Americans in need. Though the President has now addressed the leadership issues with FEMA, he must still address the resource and organizational issues which hindered our national response to this tragedy."

Still recovering from her PP performance on Fox News Sunday, Landrieu is still finger pointing. Yet not a word about her role or those of LA Gov Blanco, or NO Mayor Nagin.

This woman needs her nose bloodied (in a political sense, of course).

Somebody get that Landrieu woman a second, a towel, a bowl, and a couple of swords. Seppuku is the only way she can accept her share of blame.

What about your brother, you stupid bi@ch? He was responsible for emergency management in his role as Lt. Gov., wasn't he? Mary Landrieu is a worthy successor to Huey Long.

So, if the creek behind my house floods my house. I get to blame Bush? Great. Good to know.

Did ya'll just hear Brit Hume give the scoop on who runs the Shaw Group (who received a $200 million rebuilding contract)... they are at it hot and heavy and trying to deflect attention from their dirty deeds.

My previous post should have read: Note to Landrieu - What about your brother, you stupid bi@ch? He was responsible for emergency management in his role as Lt. Gov., wasn't he? Mary Landrieu is a worthy successor to Huey Long.

She is serving her last term as Senator, and she's desperately trying to shift the blame.

It won't work.

>>> "Michael Brown's resignation is more than understandable following the events of the past two weeks." <<<

That is proof enough for me that Brown did an outstanding job. Mary Landrieu does not know how to tell the truth.

Yes, you're right Mary; he should just abolish all City, County, State, and Federal offices in Louisiana (including your job) and make LA a Federal protectorate. That should address the problem.

Why the GOP doesn't counter is beyond me. We know what's wrong with their party based on lies. But what is our excuse for not countering her out right lies.
