Um, unless you're forgetting your Christian doctrine, he was killed in the process of committing a crime, and I am sure he had no time to reflect or ask forgiveness. Now exactly how was he admitted into heaven with open arms?
Furthermore, I think it presumptous for you to speak for God and whether or not he is looking at me. Now hurry up and get off the computer before Mom gets home...

Some would say that, if the man had once in his life "accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior," then the fact that he died while committing a sin (and a crime) is irrelevant to his salvation.
