THIS is laughable! The NEA can't stand it.
Home schooled children are the most well rounded academic achievers on the planet. Unfortunately we can't homeschool but nearly all my friends do. Their children are quite comfortable carrying on an intelligent conversation in a room full of adults. Equally at home on the playground, displaying respect for others along with good sportsmanship.
I wish all children could get outside the big government nanny's influence. The world - and out nation in particular, would be a much better place.

The Teacher's Union in California tried to get a bill passed requiring all student athletes to sign a pledge that they are "accepting" of the homosexual life style in order to play intermural sports. Since most home schoolers are Christians, this is a back door way for the Union to exclude them.

I wonder what the late Ivan Illich would think of the home school movement. (Illich was a leftist, ex-Catholic priest, who was a longtime critic of modern "assembly line," pre-packaged education. One of his major books was "Deschooling Society.")
