Weeeellll; we could halt everything until we get a number of sealed bids for each project, study them for a while and then select the lowest bidder.

Might slow things up a bit though.

The media is catching on. We should have known they'd be too smart for us. TIme to hide the Hurricane Machine. Better put in in the same storage shed as Osama.

When democrats get elected --hopefully never-- they can pick who gets the contracts, until then, STFU.

Here is another Reuters' winner. Don't know whether to laugh or cry.

From what I here one of these companies is the same one that created Bush's weather machine. ;-)

HAAAA! Yeah cause they are the only firms that DO the particular work and have a standing Military contract. Funny how a "news" agency cannot even get the basic facts of the story right!

Gee...maybe we should have let Air America handle it all? They did SUCH a good job with the money meant for underprivileged kids and the elderly!

Did the media think that contracts would go to Kerry supporters?

Oh shoot, we got caught? LOL. Hey I think Bechtels engineering department developed the "Rove Maniacal Hurricane Machine" and Kellog Brown and Root provides the support for it's upkeep. Since the machine is made to operate on bovine fecal material, the democratic party supplies the fuel and does not even realize it. This plan is so masterful it is amazing.

Good. I want companies friendly to Bush to get the contracts.

If I had written this garbage for Reuters, I'd be too embarrassed to put my name on it too.

What companies aren't friendly to Bush? Sounds like a bad business model if they aren't.

According to tax filings released in April, Cheney's income included $194,852 in deferred pay from the company, which has also won billion-dollar government contracts in Iraq.

Pretty lousey cut if you ask me.
I'd have wanted 5% at least.
