LOUISIANA FAMILIES SUFFER, "SOUTHERN DECADENCE" CELEBRATES, TFP PROTESTS

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina’s devastating damage to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, everyone is turned to those suffering from this great disaster. However, while Louisiana families suffered, participants in the homosexual festival called “Southern Decadence” reveled in the streets of Lafayette, La.

The TFP protested the celebration of an unofficial “Southern Decadence in Exile” event held in downtown Lafayette at 5 p.m. on September 7. The event is often characterized by lewd behavior, wild revelry and public indecency.

Four dozen souls made an act of reparation before a statue of Our Lady of the Assumption, Patroness of the Acadians. According to the organizers’ web site, the revelers planned to hold a three-block parade from one bar to another. The American TFP web site asked its readers to petition Lafayette city president Joey Durel to stop this “unofficial” three-block parade on the city streets for the sake of public decency and out of respect to a climate of mourning for the hurricane victims.

This protest and others helped move the mayor to declare the parade had no permit and would not be allowed on the streets. While a “parade” of some two dozen people took place on the sidewalks, the TFP organized four dozen souls and prayed a rosary in reparation and other prayers outside Lafayette’s Catholic Cathedral before a statue of Our Lady of the Assumption, Patroness of the Acadians.

Catholics gather for an act of reparation in Lafayette, La., while two dozen revelers "paraded" in disrepect to a climate of mourning for hurrican victims.

While a state suffers around them, the party must go on. It takes a lot of nerve for an outsider to travel to Louisiana for this debauchery.

I wouldn't expect anything different from the homosexuals. It has always been about them and what they want.

While most people try to leave a better world for their children, for the homosexuals, there is no tomorrow...live for today.

No, no no

Didn't you get the memo??

We are talking about a perpetual victim class. Because they are victims, we, the oppressors, cannot expect them, the victims, to have any personal responsibility and we, the oppressors, must not judge anything they, the victims, do. They are only expressing their individuality and we must celebrate this with them. \ obvious burning sarcasm

Why on Earth would anyone be surprised...Homosexuality is a sexual disease characterized by traits of self-centeredness. You may think this is stupid, but watch one episode of Will and Grace. I truly believe they characterize the self-absorption on the Gay Community in a nutshell. And I do think it's a disease. So, would you expect alcoholics not to drink because people are dying (And yes, I think alcoholism is a disease), would you expect drug addicts to stop using? I'm not surprised at this.

Problem #1 -We are expecting decency from basically indecent people.

Problem #2 -It's politically incorrect to say that.

Surely you are joking? An act of reparation is humbling yourself before God and asking forgivness for yourself or someonelse for. Pleading to God for forgiveness. An example:
O most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the Most Prescious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, Present in all the tabernacles of the world, in REPARATION for the outrages, sacriliges and indifference by which He is offended. By the Infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg conversion of poor sinners.

"While a state suffers around them, the party must go on."

This takes the expression, "dancing on their graves," to a whole new low. Wouldn't this be the equivalent of the perverts thumbing their noses at God?

For any Catholics who read this thread, now is a very important time to consecrate your home to the Immaculate Heart:

A Solemn Act of Consecration
to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Most Holy Virgin Mary, tender Mother of men, to fulfill the desires of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the request of the Vicar of Your Son on earth, we consecrate ourselves and our families to your Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and we recommend to You, all the people of our country and all the world.

Please accept our consecration, dearest Mother, and use us as You wish to accomplish Your designs in the world.

O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and Queen of the World, rule over us, together with the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, Our King. Save us from the spreading flood of modern paganism; kindle in our hearts and homes the love of purity, the practice of a virtuous life, an ardent zeal for souls, and a desire to pray the Rosary more faithfully.

We come with confidence to You, O Throne of Grace and Mother of Fair Love. Inflame us with the same Divine Fire which has inflamed Your own Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart. Make our hearts and homes Your shrine, and through us, make the Heart of Jesus, together with your rule, triumph in every heart and home.

Amen.

Please act now!

In this time of great mourning and sadness, we are appalled to hear of the celebration of an unofficial “Southern Decadence in Exile” event to be held in downtown Lafayette, La. at 5 p.m. on September 7. The event is often characterized by lewd behavior, wild revelry and public indecency.

According to the organizers’ web site, the revelers will hold a parade or what they call a “crawl” from the Sound Factory at 209 Jefferson St. to Jules Downtown at 533 Jefferson St. We are asking you to petition the Lafayette city president Joey Durel to stop this “unofficial” parade on the public city streets for the sake of public decency and out of respect to a climate of mourning for the hurricane victims.

Please send your protest. Please do so now! The “celebration” is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7! Act now by clicking here!

Until next time.

Yours in Jesus and Mary,

I was wondering how long God was going to put up with this crap in New Orleans.
