Thanks for the ping. As Red Badger noted down below, there's another thread about this find, however, I do plan to add this to the catalog when I get home, and may even ping the list. Thanks again.

"It would then be like asking how many people who live in a community the size of Crawford have a name of George Walker ( for example ) and father named George Herbert , abd a mother named Barbara."

I give.
How many?

he [Finkelstein] says. "That is an important finding, because it describes an interim stage in the development of Jerusalem from a small and pretty meager village, as (he believes) it was in the 10th century BCE, into an important, large and fortified provincial city.

There; that looks better.

Unless he has a direct line to information no one else does, it is only his educated opinion, which is not a universally held educated opinion.

It is true that there has been little archeological evidence of anything substantial before around 200 BCE. It would be a great find to be able to trace artifacts back to 1000 BCE.

Though there is really little doubt about it in my mind, because so much other evidence seems to fit the bill up to that point. So to find artifacts and proofs going further back would be exciting.

I think the post is interesting but the discussion is all Hebrew to me and that's worse than my Geek. All that reading backwards without valves is just to much for me.

The funniest puns are the ones nobody gets, where you can sit back in smug, silent laughter. LOL
