If the designers had used a cross in the memorial, ACLU lawyers would have been on them like flies on crap.

Words fail me... These people died in service to their country, as surely as any Soldier on any battlefield. To include this symbol of the enemy is an outrage.

Would anyone support a rising sun on the Iwo Jima memorial? This is a slap in the face of ALL Americans, especially all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this country.

You'd be surprised how many people are oblivious to such things.

My Cub Scout Pack just lost it's Cubmaster to a heart attack - he was 46. It was decided that everyone associated with the Pack would wear a ribbon with a pin on it on their Cub Scout uniforms. Eight parents of children in the Pack sat around and approved a design that included the use of a rainbow ribbon. Not one of them had a clue what a rainbow ribbon on a Scout uniform might be taken to mean.

The worst part is that, as Americans, we do this to ourselves.

As far as I'm concerned, this "memorial" is a about as fitting as a heroic statue of Hitler at Auschwitz.

Is there any legit way to spread the word about this on FR? Cuz this has been an incredibly dead thread, and I think it's important.

I'm not a Pennsylvanian either, but so what?  This a national memorial, sponsored by the "National Park Foundation," chartered by Congress in 1967.

I am livid.

The best E-Mail address for them seems to be ask-npf@nationalparks.org , which is for "general questions."  I will try to come up with a civil way to ask them what the $%$##%%&% they are thinking.

But that will probably be wasted.  Maybe my congressman and senators will take an interest.

Weekends are a slow time on FR.  I agree, this is important.  One legit way to revive a thread is to post a "bump to the top" (BTTT).  I intend to do at least that on Monday.

It was observed on the original thread that a "Tower of Voices" could be a veiled reference to a minaret: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1480220/posts?page=96#96

Your design shows thought, but if I were doing it, it would also have the clenched fist of the marxist/communist.

Then it would be the true flag, of America's enemies, without and within, (think hilary and kerry for clenched fist signal).

We need to be aware we are fighting a trio of evils supporting each other.

Oh dear, my lawyer, said I must say "in my opinion" when telling the truth about someone........

Yes, it will trace back to the communists, who are supporting the muslims, to over throw us.

No Christians will remain in America, kiss the crescent or die........their plan.
