It will be interesting to see what will happen in a few years, when Germany is totally dependent on Russia's oil and gas and Putin shows his real face. I hope I will be out of here before that happens.

Schroeder sure was in a big hurry to have that contract signed before the elections and make his "good friend and picture book democrat" a last present. This man truly is the worst German chancellor since A.H.

The stupid socialist Schroeder did not use the proposed deal to put pressure on Russia to disengage from Iran. Now he is as well selling out Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, what a moron!

Something funny happend to Schroeder while Putin visited him in Berlin:

Putin said in his speech that he will stay a friend of Schroeder (!) no matter if he looses his job (of being German chancellor) or not (!). After that he met with Angela Merkel in the Russian embassy.

Maybe Putin is sometimes closer to the truth than we all were thinking.

BuHuHahahaha!

The signing was originally planned for October, but with Schroeder -- Putin’s close ally -- trailing in the polls, it was moved forward to 8 September.

Ahhh, nice that this was at least included in the article!!

I wish American politicians will take note. Russia & Germany get the pipeline while we can't build nuclear power plants, refineries,ANWR, etc. The environmental movement is taking its toll on the USA.
