I can't wait for the Hurricane Katrina commission to convene. The thought of the incompetent Democractic establishment in New Orleans turning on each other is delicious. If this were not such a tradgedy where so many needlessly lost their lives due to these idiots, it would almost be funny.

You think Louisiana is beginning to regret that they did not elect Bobby Jindal? He would have been tailor made for this situation.

Critics have long derided Mrs. Blanco for her tendency to call for studies and special commissions to find solutions for the state's biggest problems.
Typical liberal approach to any problem. Maybe Ms. Blanco was waiting for instructions from moveon before taking any action.

We also thought that after the declaration of martial law (or equivalent) that the order of "looters will be shot on sight" was automatic as well.
Blanco showed us otherwise.

I think the openess of the Bush Administration to an investigation will make the liberals uneasy.

"But defenders say that this merely reflects Mrs. Blanco's deliberative temperament. Shortly after Mrs. Blanco took office, Dan Juneau, president of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, defended her as a woman who "likes to accumulate as much information as possible before finalizing a major decision.""
AMAZING - this is exactty how they described Clinton! And what "major decisions" did he ever make? Whether or not to --- in Monica's mouth?

Shreveport Times, in endorsing her Republican opponent for governor, Bobby JindalListening to Jindal lately, I'd say the ballot for governor in Louisian should have been labelled Dumb and Dumber.

Does Blanco's terrible response to Katrina make her a 'racist?' Does she 'not care about black people' just like President Bush?

"[Blanco] likes to accumulate as much information as possible before finalizing a major decision." "She would rather be criticized for taking her time in finding the right approach than for shooting from the hip and moving in the wrong direction," Mr. Juneau wrote.
Did she ever come up with a way to save those peoples' lives? I guess that will have to wait while she comes up with a plan to raise the dead and turn back time.

I guess she's waiting for a study to be completed, then will assign the decision making to a committee. She should have an answer by next year.

Good article on the incompetent Gov.
BTW, dont change the article title (add stuff if you must) but dont change it.
It helps for searching.

Where's the lt. gov.? Mitch Landrieu, isn't it? Didn't he try to do anything constructive, or did he just rubber stamp Blanco's execrable decision making?

Hillary may actually take a hit on this hurricane because of Blanco.
Blanco is displaying the stereotypical image of women. She is quite emotional and very indecisive. If the population as a whole is watching how this woman handles a crisis maybe they will be turned off on Hillary?
BTW, I am a woman. I know great women leaders exist. Condi and Margaret Thatcher just to name a few. I am simply talking about perceptions and how Blanco has shown to be weak and incapable under pressure.

Critics have long derided Mrs. Blanco for her tendency to call for studies and special commissions to find solutions for the state's biggest problems.I would recommend that Bush study this problem and then call a special commision to find a solution to repair it.
