Do you know if they (the Red Cross) are going to try to use the many databases of houses being offered to match the evacuees with a place being offered at one of the "housing" sites?
It is my understanding that the IRC is not using any of the grass-roots efforts. I think part of the reason is legal issues and I also think that they like to use their own services instead of those of others. Most of the major players do real good work but they don't like to share the glory with anyone else. Kind of frustrating.
