I agree ... but we're way past "Monday Morning" now. The Mayor and Governor are clearly incompetent. GWB needs to take charge and fly in Chinooks full of armed NG troops to the Superdome and Convention Center in NO to establish secure zones.
You're right. That's why I've been very careful about saying things. It IS scary to see what's been happening there though. And you've gotta believe that if our heroes in uniform have been exercising restraint or staying away it's because that's that they've been told to do. I told hubby last night that I wish those MedEvac helicopters who were fired on had an Apache for an escort. The press seems to be calling for shoot to kill, but you know as soon as the first degenerate is fired on down there we'll see endless stories of how he was "really just a good boy caught up in the wrong crowd" and if they'd "only given he a chance she would have straightened out." The press is gonna play this one out both sides of their mouths ~~ whichever way they can score more points against President Bush.
Those old enough to remember or read have probably recognized by now that we have seen this looting scenario played out repeatedly in every racially charged situation where politicians in charge of the government are afraid to respond with appropriate force because of political correctness. Since when is it "Monday Morning Quarerbacking" when we have seen this instant replay countless times over the last four decades.
