You are right, they could do that maybe in 6-10 corners of the city...that leaves only about 10,000 others...

After seeing so much conjecture regarding the operational capability of SFOD-D, I had to throw my $0.02 in here.

1. Posse Comitatus - Even though everyone knows they exist now, the Delta Force is a secretive organization. Yes, they do partake in operations aimed at American citizens, on American soil. SFOD-D team members were at Waco as "advisers" and they've been known to attend the riots (dressed as protestors) that surround world bank summits. They were involved with the Able Danger group.

2. The FBI admitted their own special operations groups went into NO to secure vital government communications and national security infrastructure sites while the hurricane was still happening. It wouldn't surprise me in the least id SFOD-D was used/involved.

2. To the guy who said only 20-30 Delta operators couldn't do squat, suggest you watch the movie Black Hawk Down, and/or research the subject. 18 American soldiers dead, 1100+ enemy fighters killed.

3. To the guy who said our govt. doesn't "waste" high level special ops soldiers on "deals" like this, you are wrong. Securing national security infrastructure, in the form of datacenters and communications site that store/relay sensite/classified data, is not a waste of military resources.

4. To the guy who asked if they would have trouble traversing city streets that were flooded, no.
