The Red Cross and the United Way will never get a penny of my money. Both organizations are corrupt. Stick with the Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse, or some other legitimate charity that uses all your gifts to actually help people and not line their own pockets.

I agree with you on this... I donated to the Salvation Army last night.

Does anyone know of a contact for finding your family members in the Biloxi area??? We're trying to find out if our kids are alive..

I feel the same way .I would never give a contribution directly to the Red Cross.

I have a son who has done volunteer work with the The Southern Baptist Convention. They worked with volunteers from the Red Cross and worked repairing homes of the elderly.

I have seen several requests on the T.V. asking for contribution to the Red Cross Southern Baptist Convention working together.

He told this to me yesterday when he and I decided we were going to send to the Southern Baptist through our church and note "to be used for Flood relief"

I believe I will send a second donation to the Salvation Army since they are ready to roll, as soon as they can get into the area. Or have the relief ready for where ever
the people are transported to.

FR isn't doing anything as a group is it?
