The world doesn't seem to care, do they.
Maybe we need to pray for them.

I can't help but think that he only offered because he knew we would refuse. I say call him out. Accept. See if he's serious. If he isn't, there'd be no better way to humiliate him.

I agree. We'll get through this, be stronger, and amaze the world. Again.

Where is Hollywood? Oh they are planning for the Emmey's on Sunday. Sometimes I wish a missile had hit the Hollywood Hills!

Just spoke to my wife and her NJ company is beginning to collect money. My NJ company will also...we will all come together and help these devastated survivors in the Gulf/Delta region.
We will take care of our own, but if other countries offer help, it would be nice to see.

I agree, it is shameful. I have just emailed Downing Street suggesting that this be rectified.

Well since we caused the hurricane to begin with, and Bush wasted his time in office by not shoring up New Orleans and instead took vacations, obviously we got what we deserved. You can bet that most 'world citizens' actually believe things like this because of the distorted view their media presents of this country and how it works.

Nice post, goldstategop. You caught the essence of this "can do" country.

Actually, it was through Jessie Jackson, offered to the "poor" people. I don't think it will be refused - I don't think it will help the "poor" one iota.
