Similar to other actions this Anti-Troops group has performed during soldiers' funerals in the past there are plans to picket another funeral, and a 9/11 memorial march in DC.
Here are the facts regarding these planned protests:
1.) Fallen Soldier Army Staff Sgt. Brian Morris - Constantine, Michigan on Thursday, September 1, 2005 12:30-1:00pm. Planned picket of WBC is planned to take place outside the Eley Funeral Home on THURSDAY. News reports state the actual funeral will be on FRIDAY the 2nd of September.
2.) America Supports You Walk for Freedom - Washington DC & Arlington, VA 8:00am - 12:00pm on Sunday, September 11, 2005. WBC is planning to picket on the Memorial Bridge in the Arlington National Cemetery.

THIS GROUP HAS REPORTEDLY ANNOUNCED VIA THEIR WEBSITE THAT THEY INTEND TO PROTEST FUNERALS IN ALABAMA, CALIFORNIA, DELAWARE, IOWA, IDAHO, ILLINOIS, KANSAS, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, NEW YORK, PENNSYLVANIA, WISCONSIN, AND WEST VIRGINIA.
2.B. THERE IS NO INFORMATION TO INDICATE THAT THIS GROUP PLANS ANY FORM OF VIOLENT ACTIVITY AND THEY ARE NOT KNOWN TO INITIATE PHYSICAL CONTACT. HOWEVER, THIS GROUP DOES EMPLOY PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE TECHNIQUES INTENDED TO PROVOKE A HOSTILE RESPONSE OR OFFENSIVE REACTION FROM OTHERS. My brother-in-law in a Baptist minister and I just called my sister and told her about this so-called Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Ks and their radical, disgusting behavior. I asked her if she would have my brother-in-law check into this so-called "Baptist Church".
I think they are using Christians as a cover for their agenda.

They are GAY-HATERS and haters of all who have anything to do with them. It said they protested the funerals of people who died with AIDS and they detest the Miitary (gay policy), Presidents Bush, Clinton & Reagan. Phelps & his groups' most famous protest was the funeral of Matthew Shepherd, the gay 2l year old who was beaten to death in 1998. It said they had held some 20,000 protests.
Other churches in Kansas are embarrassed by Phelps behavior, but they do not know anything they can do about him. He has been behaving like this since the 1960's. He is 72 years old and has about 100 members.
I just called my sister back and told her to forget about her preacher husband checking into the church, because they are just a bunch of NUTS!

These jerks were at a funeral of a Special Forces soldier of my town 2 months ago here in MA. Four of these idiots were outside the church during the services. Fortunately, the Boston Police's Bagpipe & Drum Corps was on hand to drown out their noise with music. Not to mention the 4 Boston PD Mounted cops who were stationed in front of the protesters...with the horses' rears in their faces. The crowd loved it.
More than a few people I talked to were in favor of reviving an old New England custom...tar & feathering and running them out of town on a rail.
Respectfully you need to include the Impeachbush.org rally on September 24.
This is all a "rebirth" of the hippies. The left is being energized by the prospect of creating defeat out of victory.
