8. 2 to 3 thousand people at Camp Casey II now.
entertainment is planned for all day at Camp Casey II.
"However, at this moment, the people in the strike area of the storm, with the many hours it will take to prep or make plans .. NEED TO KNOW NOW AND EVACUATE this area, and it's vital that the message gets repeated frequently, as more National Hurricane Center info comes in. EVERY MINUTE COUNTS at this point"
Thanks for that perspective.
I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet but the Yellow Ribbon campaign was started for the Iranian Hostages.
Thanks for posting the words to "Tie A Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Ole Oak Tree"! I've been trying to remember the rest of the words and my memory failed me. LOL Now I can serenade my husband this afternoon while he works on the porch roof. I just KNOW he'll love it. teehee

Updates from:
'You Don't Speak For Me, Cindy' Campaign
Deborah Mathews reporting for The Iconoclast3:00 p.m.
The rally is now complete and people are disbursing. People are making their way toward vehicles. Members of Gold Star Families are headed toward Camp Casey I, accompanied by law enforcement, to remove crosses bearing names of their family members that have been planted in the ditch.
I don't know how much of this thread you have been reading, but no, our three to four thousand are there in full strength NOW. In a central location, with tons of law enforcement and media right there too.
This rally will disperse and people will go back to their homes, families, jobs and whatever. No one is waiting until the first of the week to gather their full strength. It is just the opposite of that.
I know you mean well, and you are on our side, so I'm not mad at you. I am just MAD.
The media, Fox too, have indeed failed to cover a live rally in support of the troops and the President, of thousands of people, located outside of the Crawford Civic Center, in a very large outdoor setting.
The crowd noise is so loud, it is deafening. People continue to stream in. It is a MAJOR EVENT.
Now whether they will have later shots of it, just not live, I don't know. But there was no excuse not to cover it live.
I've heard so much about Aruba. How can they continue to milk this story when there is nothing new to report? Wouldn't you think they could give the troop rally a couple of live 15 minute shots?
Ok, Maybe, I will wait a few days and see how they run footage starting tomorrow, or even Monday. But if they don't show me something by Tues or Wed, I'm gonna be on the street in front of Fox in DC later in the week. maybe as a prelude to next Friday's FReep of Code Pink?
P. S. Takoma, where are your photos?
A report on Camp Casey II last night on MSNBC I think it was, said that though Cindy's Camp had white peaked tents and seemed to have funding there were only about 200 people there all told, though they wanted you to think there were more. It showed how 'professionally' managed the site is and the pr coming from it. It was a rather 'curious' report--a bit cynical which I found surprising since the MSM usually falls all over her. Maybe they're starting to wake up. Maybe I'm dreaming...
Which season?
Sheehan, of Vacaville, Calif., said that after the protest ends, some of the group will spread its message on a tour, with the first stop probably in the southeast Texas district of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, a Republican.
Come on down, Cindy! We'll be waiting for you! We love The Hammer! This is Republican country, proud of The President, proud of the military!
I think you're absolutely correct!!!
Count on it.
I am not suggesting being confrontative...my initial post in that regard was too emotional. Later I recommended simply singing patriotic songs. Singing patriotic songs is not confrontative. The MSM is there with her and the people of this country need to see what true Americans are doing in support of thier Preident and their troops. That's where it will be seen.
