A Message to Cindy Sheehan from RazorsEdge, TN Army National Guard soldier deployed in Iraq
Razors BLOG linked from FR thread ^ | 18 Aug 2005 | RazorsEdge

Here is a BLOG from a TN National Guard soldier in Iraq about Cindy Sheehan's activities.

From Razors BLOG

That woman in Texas outside the Bush Ranch for instance. She aggravates me, even though I can't even remember her name. The President is trying to relax a little bit from what must be one of the highest pressured jobs in the world, and she has to go and bring a circus of media to squat on his freaking front yard. Give the man a break Lady! The President didn't kill your son, your son did something called VOLUNTEERING! He signed his own adult name to the recruiter's paperwork, and he did not have to ask your permission. If he thought he was doing it to make some college money or to go on a paid vacation around the world, then he was a fool. I tend to doubt that was the case, since most people that join the military understand what the military is for.

The military exists for one purpose, to kill people and blow things up. That's all. The college money and travel are perks. Every job in the military exists for that one purpose. The reason FOR the military is that there is an evil power in the world. That evil power shows its ugly butt in many forms, sometimes in the form of a child molester, or a serial killer, or a drug pusher. The form the President(and therefore, the military) is most concerned about is international terrorism. Terrorism is not something that STARTED on 11 September 2001, it ENDED there. President Bush drew a line in the sand finally, after eight years of having a sniveling, skirt-chasing liar as our commander-in-chief, and declared that we would not stand for it any more. We would no longer wait for the terrorists to attack us in our neighborhoods or our places of business, we would take the fight to them and exterminate them one by one like the vermin they are. That is why we went into Afghanistan, and that is why I'm writing this from a desk in Iraq instead of in the comfort of home. Because we finally have a President who has the cohonas to confront the bully and doesn't care what the world thinks. He is not a perfect man by any means. He has made mistakes, and he will continue to make them the rest of his life, just like you and me and every other human being on God's earth.

Judge not, lest ye be judged however. What you don't understand Lady, is that the world is not a happy little fairy land where the bunnies play and the deer frolic all the time. The world is fallen, and we have to clean it up from time to time. Your son signed his name as a man, and he died as a man, and all you're doing is staining his legacy with your whining. It is a sad thing that good men and women must die to defend the things they love. It is a NECESSARY thing however, something which must be done. Otherwise we're all reduced to cringing cowards, afraid of the boogeyman and his sharp teeth. Your son would want you to mourn, of course. But instead of pointing the finger at the one man in the world who had the opportunity to do something bold to prevent terrorism, you should choose instead to support him so we can hurry up and get through the mess.

The President didn't make the mess, he simply decided it was time to clean it up. This involves getting messy, as any of you who've ever cleaned up a mess know. You don't even have to do anything to create a mess, if you spend all your time being a little boy and having fun, the mess will come to you. That's what the previous president did, and now the current one is stuck with the mess. He didn't back down though, he plunged in and got his hands dirty, and your son chose to help him. May he and all the others that have died rest in peace, and may their families choose to honor their deaths and continue to pray for those still in the fight.

Ok, I'm done ranting now. I'm just tired of hearing people on the news criticize and point fingers and tell the President what he ought to do and how he screwed up. He isn't perfect, but then, neither are you. I hope some pansy who doesn't understand the necessity of war reads this and realizes how he/she has had their head in the sand. There is great beauty in this world of ours, and there is also great sorrow, sorrow for the evil that has tainted it. We should rejoice in the beauty, but every so often we have to get nasty with the evil in order to prevent a greater evil.

You all have a good day, and thank God for the privilege He's given you of being able to live another day. Kiss your wife or your husband and your kids and be grateful for people like that poor silly woman's son, that are over here cleaning up the mess so you don't have to. Thanks for reading, and God Bless America.

I found this on the internet through an FR link and thought everyone should read what a warrior in Iraq thinks of Ms. Sheehan's activites.

You can respond to him on his BLOG site.

As to Cindy, as the following quote and pictures clearly point out, she is not only willing far-left, anti-American activist who is using her son's last full measure of devotion to this country as a prop to spread everything he fought against...she is also an out and out sham.

"If I truly was a media whore do you think I would like
maybe get myself fixed up a little bit before I went on?"

Someone needs to force Ali Baba Sheehan to listen, while this is read to her, and then it should be shoved down her throat.

Thanks for the post.

Don't need to know where all the heroes have gone. They signed up and are beating back the forces of evil making this country safe for us and our children.

Thanks for posting that. You might want to help get the word out from one of our Freepers in Iraq, 91b.

Here is a dose of reality from a long time Freeper, 91b, who is on his second tour in Iraq.

An Open Letter to FR from Iraq
91b ^ | August 18, 2005 | 91b

Posted on 08/17/2005 11:39:47 PM PDT by 91B

I am writing this in response to all the attention that Cindy Sheehan and her protests are getting. I am a deployed soldier with 2nd Squadron, 278th RCT at FOB Bernstein near Tuz Khurmatu, Iraq.

This is my second deployment. The first was from April 2003 to April 2004 and it was spent mostly in Qatar, but I also spent some time at Camp Cedar II just outside An Nasiriyah, Iraq. I volunteered to return with the 278th and I do not regret my decision at all.

Obviously, I believe in and support the war for a variety of reasons. I think that the invasion and liberation of Iraq demonstrated to those regimes that might be inclined to support terrorism that we were serious about our commitment to taking the fight to our enemies. I also believe that a democratic Iraq will serve as a positive influence over the rest of the region. At the same time, having a force in Iraq allows to us put direct pressure on Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia-all supporters of terrorism in one way or another-and draws prospective jihadis into this country where they can be dealt with militarily.

That is why I am so angry about Ms. Sheehan's media circus. I do not question her grief and anger over the death of her son and I do not begrudge her the right to protest. However, I do not see where her actions serve any useful purpose other than to embolden our enemies and weaken the resolve that is necessary to carry forward the fight to a victorious conclusion.

I admit that there are some soldiers here who have mixed feelings about the war and whether or not we are successful. They wonder how we will be able to define victory and what American soldiers are being sacrificed for. I try to answer that we should not expect the defeat of tyranny and fanaticism to be easy. That victory may not come for years and that we may not know it for years after that. I try to point out that we did not defeat Communist totalitarianism except after a long struggle, and that we were not able to carry the fight directly to its' most important strongholds even then. I also reply that those nations that we have helped to become democratic-South Korea, Japan, Germany-did not become so overnight.

I know that modern Americans are perhaps impatient and that they are perhaps not willing to bear sacrifice for long without some clear indication of success. However, I do not hear any alternative strategy put forth other than capitulation and that is not acceptable. Freepers, and other conservatives, will have to carry forward an important part of the fight. You will have to stand resolute in the face of the attempted emotional manipulation by the media of the Cindy Sheehan's of the world.

This will be difficult as the opposition will claim the high ground, but you must constantly remind the public of the price of defeat. A world in which our enemies can prey on our weakness will never be safe from bombings, hijackings or decapitation. The publicity battle is an important front in this struggle and Freepers have an important role to play.

i for one am getting sick and tired of all who say "i do not doubt her grief and anger" i do doubt it only because she despised her son for being a man and escaping the lunicy of her F**King commie socialist agenda. it is obvious that she never ever loved her son.
G. Dave, you are a regular and esteemed poster on F.R. and i will always read and value your opinions, BUT SINdy is a commie media WHO*E who resents her son for being a man and not still suckling at her teets!
i wish her evil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for re-posting that open letter to FR. It was a great read then and a great read now.

I posted a "thumbs-up" to RazorBlog as well, but I signed it as "LWB."

It amazes me that we support the troops here on FR, and they in turn are also encouraging us -- as well as serving and protecting us. I don't know where we found these wonderful servicepeople or if we even deserve them. I hope we do.

Back during the Vietnam protests, there was a line I recall hearing from people like cindysheehan that "if someone comes to our shores and starts killing us, that's a different story." Well DUH! that's happened, and they haven't changed their song. They were liars then and they're lying now.

God bless our Troops & Vets, especially those currently in harm's way, and their families. God bless President Bush and God Bless America.
