CYA BS, more of the same ole same ole, crap, they will do nothing constructive as to securing the border or punishing the criminal employers who are hiring the other criminals.
Maybe some activist types should start quick in and out illegal cross border excursions into Mexico. We should also demand English be a second language there, be allowed to buy and own real estate property anywhere in the country and access to all free medical, welfare and legal services available (read none) to Mexican citizens.
In short, fight fire with fire to show the hypocrisy of the Mexican Mafioso Government. Drastic events demand drastic actions.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, told a news conference that "we want to facilitate the flow of traffic across our borders." In that case, don't pretend your position has anything to do with either "security" or "homeland." Both concepts just get in the way of your ability to "facilitate the flow of traffic across our borders."

Wow, I never saw that letter before ... That's a much stronger stand than the one he takes now.
Laura Ingraham was talking about Chertoff's BS this morning. Just enforce the law, mister, what's stopping you?

But they will continue to pretend until we are no more, or until something happens so catastrophic that the sheep arise and there is a reckoning.

Another red herring. Chertoff isn't going to go against the wishes of Bush/Cheney/Rove and their big money contributors.

In my opinion, these long overdue but insincere and unbelievable enforcement noises coming out of Chertoff are just lip-service to enforcement and the opening gambit in the Bush Shamnesty sales effort. Shamnesty?
Perfecto!
