That's the radio station locally that carries both Rush and Sean, so there won't be an overall boycott, and they will try to replace Michael with a conservative, so the economic options v. WMAL are few .... any suggestions?

Continue to listen to Rush & Hannity, but make note of the local sponsors. Contact the sponsors and let them know you will not patronize them, and you will urge all your friends not to patronize them, as long as the situation with Graham continues.

O.K., it's time to pour it on to WMAL and ABC Radio/Disney! I say we stick it to them with full email broadsides and phone calls and drop the station from our radio saved lists! If Michael's termination holds, then the terrorists have truly a very significant battle in the war of ideas against terrorism since a really dangerous precedent will have been set.

In my effort to avoid listening to WMAL anymore, today I was listening to the Chip Franklin show out of Baltimore, and lo and behold, I heard Michael being interviewed. Franklin mentioned that one factor that might have been driving ABC's decision is that a Saudi prince invested more than $400 million that saved Euro Disney from economic collapse, and that same Saudi prince contributes generously to CAIR. Do we really think that the efforts of 15,000 Graham supporters will be more important to ABC and its sponsors than four hundred million dollars? I don't think so.

Then why did he presume to ask everyone to stop?

He asked everyone to stop because the station employees, who could not control whether or not he was fired, were being inundated and were being prevented from doing their jobs. He said the message had been received at WMAL loud and clear. Trouble is, the ultimate decision was not made at the station itself but at ABC/Disney.

Okay, I'm cool with that. However, generally speaking, my reaction is I'm sorry people who have nothing to do with the decision have their days ruined, but dealing with the fallout of management's decisions is their job.

IOW, if they have a beef, take it up with management.

Further, if the dogs need to be redirected, do so. No need to call them off. ABC/Disney can figure out how to manage having their employees do the extra work of dealing with their dumb decisions.

It only has one other meaning, but that only applies if you're a California state employee. Then it's much worse.

That is amazing, since on Sunday Night the general manager said that he thought they were still in negotiations.

If Michael had a letter on Friday, that sure seems to indicate that the general manager was lying on sunday, unless Michael was fired by somebody else.
