It is as easy as taking out loans and paying them back.

"Are they going to do the right thing?"

If you think spreading commie propaganda is the right thing, then I suppose so.

Question that would need to be asked is, the credentials of this school good enough for the student to become a Doctor here in the US? Since the school is intending for some of them to come here. Otherwise what would be the point of attending the school and not getting a license to practice.

ONE thing, that I think ought to have the option of being socialized is the college and University system. We're paying for those schools anyway! Do you know how much the govt subsidizes those schools?

Get rid of affirmative action, get rid of the "rich kid" whose dad makes a contribution to Harvard, and get rid of the dumb athlete who goes to college to play football. I'm not for the government choosing a school for anyone- (like Hillary and health care) or any private school being forced to get in on the system, but allowing anyone who is bright smart- regardless of what he or she can afford- to go to school.

Some people don't want loans even if it's Harvard. My sister got accepted to NYU and two other ivy leagues but she hates debt. She thinks she got a better education at the state school she transferred to anyway. Ivy schools aren't all that anymore. If I got accepted to Harvard, I'd be afraid. I know too many doctors working hundred hour weeks to pay bills, esp. student loans from private med schools.

"Seems like all liberals today, he started out with good intentions but went to hell in a handbasket."

I do not know about ALL liberals starting out with good intentions, but many do have good intentions. The problem is that socialist ideas lead to hellish conditions, since people are not equal and the only way to make people have equality of results is to have a police state.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Some schools prep for the USMLE test. Most every foreign doctor I know has had to take ALL the tests over again even though they were distinguished doctors in their countries.

You are right about government basically paying for these schools. It also explains why tuition is sky high!

Yep. It wouldn't be my choice. No way could I go to Cuba but some people don't have those moral dilemmas.

"I wonder where This (sic) Americans will go."

"they return home to serve their communities after graduation."

I glad they will not be serving my community.

"Only one American was among those graduating Saturday. "
I wonder where This Americans will go."

Probably Camp Cindy to treat diarrhea from pooping in 5 gallon buckets. Or, maybe Berkeley, CA

"ONE thing, that I think ought to have the option of being socialized is the college and University system."

Bad idea. Anyone who wants to get a college education in this country can get one. There is a good mix of community colleges, state colleges, and private colleges. There are also lots of scholarship and loan programs available.

My daughter is going to a good private school and she is taking out loans to help pay for it. Money spent on a good education is a good investment, IMHO. We do not need or want the government to become any more involved in education than they already are.
