I would say dumping his ashes on a fresh compost pile would be a fitting place for ol' Hunter

Could not care less. This guy was the epitome of everything that is evil about the left.

Self-centered

Egostistical

Chauvenist

Lying

Hippie

Druggie

Low self-esteem

Scum

Hunter will now have something in common with "Quaker Puffed Rice" .

Both shot from cannons.

This generated more hate mail, some threatening, than anything I've written in the past 25 years.
Writer Thompson didn’t die "like a champion"

Does anybody know why he killed himself? I never heard if there was a particular reason (illness, etc).

Drug abusers rationalize what they do in a variety of ways. My belief is that most of them are simply too craven to deal with reality on a fulltime basis.

That's often right, but far from a rule.

Have a cup of coffee and a smoke and settle down.

;-)

I just read your piece and answered my question (post 9), but what illness did he have (aside from the obvious)?

He died "with a surprised look on his face." His son fired a shotgun after his father died, making me wonder if that was to provide powder for a parafin test (well, I was celebrating for him, you know).

I always thought of Thompson as a blowhard.

What the hell is a "gonzo" reporter? I thought Gonzo was a repulsive little figure from Sesame Street.

That was excellent. Thanks for telling it like it is.
You're one of the very few (maybe the only one) that had the guts to do it.

Bill O'Reilly said today that actor Johnny Depp paid two million dollars for Hunters ashes into space ceremony.

First, proof how the so called caring liberals waste money on the dead, walking or otherwise instead of the impoverished they claim to care so much for.

Second, I no longer believe the dollar amounts reported on celebrity weddings, funeral costs, etc. I think it's all made up b.s. to get attention, particulary to get a rise out of the conservative right.
