Glad to hear this wasn't Keith's idea.

....even though I suspected as much.

I thought potentially it would detract attention from the rest of the album and be seen as cheap publicity.

Congratulations, Mick. You got both.

Now please...just shut up and go away.

Their visas should have been denied.

Love the Stones but their albums have sucked for 20 years

Personally I'm ignoring this self-absorbed, adolescent crap. Jagger stopped thinking independently years ago. This is simply embarrassing.

Just dumb. When bands turn political, it's over for them.

Sad to see a great band overstay it's welcome (which they have long-since done).

"Love the Stones but their albums have sucked for 20 years"

The price of the concert ticket has become inversely proportional to the quality of their music.

Drudge cracked me up when he referred to them as "The Strolling Bones." Now that's funny.

" "I have my opinions, which I've stated in the tune. Maureen Dowd is no more qualified to have opinions than I am."

Right, Mick, and I care about as much about hers as I care about yours. You're both idiots.

"I thought potentially it would detract attention from the rest of the album and be seen as cheap publicity. We don't need that ... "

The Stones were always a "cheap publicity" type Rock n Roll band, so who is Keef trying to fool here? As far as I'm concerned, the Stones ceased to be a creative force in music around early 70's .... everything since then has just been sell out hacking

But they still are a terrific live band, in concert ... I won't take that away from them

but what's wrong with a poke in the eye?"

Because when you poke someone in the eye they may not buy your music, you freak. Just what everyone wanted from a old clueless brain dead musician, a political speech.
