SHEEHAN: I didn't say that my son died for Israel. I've never said that. I saw somebody wrote that, and it wasn't my words. Those aren't even words that I would say.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
COOPER: Well, today, we've received numerous e-mails from viewers who saw that, and said, "Well, she lied. We read online that ABC News confirmed she sent them a letter saying exactly that."
So we contacted ABC News today about it. They said they had received a letter on behalf of Cindy back in March. They said took it seriously enough that they responded to it, but so far they cannot find the actual e-mail, they say. They say they're trying to find it, they're investigating.
Bottom line, ABC News right now does not seem to be confirming this is what Cindy Sheehan wrote to them, so stay tuned. We'll continue to follow.
We wanted to hear what you have to say about the demonstrations in Crawford. If your computer is working, send us your e-mails. Log on to CNN.com/360. We'll try to get some of responses later tonight.
You can also give you a call, toll-free, at 866-NY-AC-360, that's 866-692-2360, 866-692-2360. We'll listen to some of your comments. And tomorrow, when we come to you live from Crawford, Texas, we'll play them on the air.

Cindy Sheehan
Sheehan said she considered Lynne Stewart her Atticus Finch, the lawyer who defended an innocent Black man accused of rape in the book and film To Kill A Mockingbird.
Theyre not waging a War on Terror but a War of Terror, she said. The biggest terrorist is George W. Bush. She claimed it costs $66,000 to recruit one soldier, not including training, and $49,000 a year to house a prisoner, yet only $6,000 per year is spent to educate a child in California. (Recruiting costs are actually $15,000 per soldier, the cost of housing a prisoner in California for one year is $26,000.)
Sheehan continued, 9/11 was Pearl Harbor for the neo-conservatives agenda and declared the U.S. government a morally repugnant system. Then she raged:
We have no Constitution. Were the only country with no checks and balances. We want our country back if we have to impeach George Bush down to the person who picks up the dog sh-t in Washington! Let George Bush send his two little party animals to die in Iraq. Its OK for Israel to have nuclear weapons but we are waging nuclear war in Iraq, we have contaminated the entire country. Its not OK for Syria to be in Lebanon. Hypocrites! But Israel can occupy Palestine? Stop the slaughter!
Uh-huh.

So if ABC can't find the original, will they come out and say they "created" a story where they was none? How come they aren't standing by there story even tho they can't find the original email? Do they suspect that a writer made something up? Hmmm?
Per Rich Lowry, at NRO's The Corner, ABC has now confirmed she sent it. However, she is claiming her message has been altered. Strange.
SHEEHAN WROTE THE LETTER [Rich Lowry ]
In a nut shell, ABC now says it talked to Sheehan and she said she did in fact write the letter in question after all and she did receive an e-mail from ABC confirming that ABC had received it. But she thinks the version on the web has been tampered with. Very, very strange...

Hi stranger! Long time no see...
Oh, geeze. I am now in the position of having to believe ABC. Who'd a thunk it?
The ABC dog ate her e-mail.
< ...Seems documents and emails conveniently always disappear from the RAT files! ... >
...or altered, or forged.
"They say they're trying to find it, they're investigating."
BS, they took her serious because originally it fit their agenda, anti-war anti-bush, but now the public knows she made an anti-Israel comment and a lie to hide that.. I doubt that ABC will 'find' the original eg. cover for the anti-Bush Basher.
Well, to be fair, the alternative is to believe Cindy Sheehan. Not really a good position to be in, is it?
LulaBelle are you playing with the PC again?
The MSM will rush to confirm the Sheehan E mail the same way they rushed to find who doctored the fake documents for Bill Burkett. Shocker.
If I knew how I would make up a Cindy Sheehan's Little Red Book, with all her idiot sayings. On sale at $4.95.
