Schroeder starts campaign with Bush criticism

Gerhard Schroeder availed itself in its first large election campaign speech of a proven style means: He criticized the US president and its force threats opposite Iran. Angela Merkel accused chancellor Fuehrungsschwaeche, Edmund Stoiber Geschmacklosigkeit. Hanover - in the last election to the Bundestag fight Schroeder scored, by dissociating itself from the Iraq war course of the government Bush. In certain way there the escalation of the atomic controversy with Iran the choice fighter Schroeder fits completely well: Again he can produce himself as peace-LG0-TRUE. Thus happens today in Hanover, where Gerhard Schroeder warned to the election campaign prelude before more than ten thousand humans at the opera place before military actions.

"take the military options of the table, we experienced the fact that they are suited, called and alluded to nothing" Schroeder the listeners in the city centre too - thereby to an TV interview George W. Bushs in whom the US president against Iran had not excluded a military strike. Schroeder said, nobody could have an interest in the fact that the Iranian guidance can come into the possession of nuclear weapons. Political conflicts would have to be solved however with peaceful means. The chancellor reminded also of the no of the German government to the Iraq war. A goal of its Federal Government is it to position "our country as a middle power which is interested in a peaceful solution of the conflicts in this world". Insurance of point politicians of the CDU/CSU, also it wanted to send in the meantime no German soldiers more into the Iraq, designated it than improbable. "I do not want that to the place again new Willfaehrigkeit steps friendly self-confident unity."

Good idea Mr. Schroeder.

Besides showing bad taste and being counterproductive to any solution in regards to Iran, the simple fact that this hits a positive response within German society does speak volumes about the Germans. As in 2002, what is Germany’s contribution to the solution? As with Iraq, who is the one paying the price and who is making political statements?

Mr. Schroeder will bring this issue into the German living room. He is politicizing the issue. He can’t sell much else!

The sales pitch is like this:

1. The left anti war crowd see a Chancellor whose against war and is peace loving. The left is happy.

2. The right is pleased because he is presenting this issue in the context of “We are telling you USA to back down.” Last time it was sold as “Der Deutsche Weg”, the German way. Already now they are using words like “Warn the USA”. This pleases the political right because it demonstrates that Germany matters, that they stood up to the US (In the EU many define themselves through opposition to the US).

It worked in 2002, so why not try to win the election in 2005 the same way? What else can he sell the masses? 12% unemployment? Sinking real wages? Declining birth rate? Cuts in health care and retirements? Or maybe even a public education system that is slipping?

The US is Germany’s “New Jew”.

More about the new Suendenbock can be read under:

And standing by Schroeders side is Muntefehring, the man who made the infamous "locust Capitalist" comments.

So Gerhard is running on a Bush bashing platform. Same old, same old.

Remind me again of why he got booted from power? Didn't it have something to do with 13% German unemployment?

It's strange to consider that socialists the world over have the same line concerning Bush.

And, strangely enough, they run against Bush in whatever country they happen to be in. And they use him in the same manner - as a means to divert attention from their own failures.

Schroeder, like Chirac, is another loser socialist who cannot deliver for his country, so he along with his ilk, continue to STUPIDLY bash and demonize the U.S. in an attempt to keep attention off their own incompetence and pathetic fiscal history.

Schroeder is probably going to trot out that old "tried and true" German campaign point ~ that "the Jews did it" ~ watch him win!

Well good for Schroeder. Another term with him running germany into the ground and America bashing and we'll pull our troops from germany. Then he can blame us for his failed country too.

Schroeder is pretty much copying the tin-pot dictators of the Middle East, who distract from their own conspicuous failures by playing up hatred against the US. Of course, those people that fall for that still only wind up supporting the failure that's doing them far more direct harm that the US could begin to...

Do you honestly think GW Bush gives a flying rip about the timing of German's elections and the effect his words may or may not have on them? What nonsense.

President Bush said what needed to be said in view of the Iranian mullah's continuation their nose-thumbing at the Euro's LIKE SCHROEDER, the IAEA, and going busily about their task of refining uranium to build nuclear weapons.

Chirac and Schroeder...nothing good to say about themselves, so they resort to bad-mouthing the POTUS.
Trashing Bush has become a national passion and past time in socialist Europe, second only in popularity to soccer.

Exactly, here is a man campaigning for office strictly on a "I hate Bush" agenda,,,nothing to offer to solve their dire economic issues like unemployment, stagnant economy, East German issues, etc...campaign by blaming the US for all its woes....rather like Hitler blamed the Jews...stupid German people deserve whatever they get...

Schroeder and Chirac inspired Saddam to be bold when he should have caved. Now, Schroeder gives Iran a green light to go nuclear. The question is who are the Germans with, dictators in Iraq and Iran, or those who want Iran free and non-nuclear? Will the Germans be fooled again?

It really is that way isn't it?

Schroeder is right inline with what you would expect from some third world African leader.
