Marine parents: Protest wrong
The Gloucester County Times, NJ ^ | August 12, 2005 | Jim Six jimsix@sjnewsco.com

.....Marine Cpl. Marc T. Ryan, of Gloucester City, was killed in an explosion in Ramadi, Iraq in November.

"I would tell Cindy Sheehan that, as one mother to another, I do realize your loss is your loss and there's nothing you can do to heal from it," said the corporal's mother, Linda Ryan.

"George Bush didn't kill her son, it's the evildoers who have no value of life who killed her son. Her son made a decision to join the Armed Forces and defend our country, knowing that, at any time, war could come about," Ryan said.

..."I've decided I'm just going to say, 'I realize you have your opinions, but it aches me, it's heart-wrenching for me'," said Ryan.

"George Bush was my son's commander-in-chief. My son, Marc, totally believed in what he was doing," she said.

"She's going about this not realizing how many people she's hurting. When she refers to anyone killed in Iraq, she's referring to my son. She doesn't have anything to say about what happened to my son," said Ryan.

..."I'm a proud Marine mom. I've earned the right to say, 'Semper Fi.' I'm a Marine's daughter, a Marine's wife and a Marine's mom," Ryan said.

"Marc believed in what he was doing and he couldn't leave his brother (Marines). He would say, 'If just one child lives to love America, I've done my job,'" she said.

"I don't agree (with Sheehan). I have a right to say that. My son fought for my right to say that," Ryan said.

She's hearing the same kind of thing from her own family. This probably won't make any difference to her because she's been bought and paid for by the "hate Bush" crowd.

Sheehan believes that it is our fault that we were attacked on 9/11 and that the if only we would change our foreign policy we wouldn't have been attacked. Remember we were minding our business on 9/11 sheehan.

Sheehan also says Israel needs to get out of Palestine for their to be peace. Many people say that but they mean out of the West Bank and Gaza. Sheehan says all of Israel is Palestine and Israel should cease to exist.

She is a media attention nut case. She was at the inauguration bashing bush to the media how much it costs.

We need to fight this tooth and nail or else the liberal activist groups will think they can use the media anytime they want to smear who they want.

The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.

The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:

Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish.

Thanks, Cherie

In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:

The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.

Sincerely,

Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

God bless our troops and their families.

Hometown folks divided over mom's war protest***…..Diane Kraft, a 46-year-old Vacaville resident, thinks protesting the war hurts the morale of the troops. Her husband served in the Navy and her stepson was on an aircraft carrier in the Middle East when the U.S. military invaded Iraq.

"This is a military town. People here can't help but hear what she's doing, " Kraft said. "Cindy Sheehan has a right to her opinion that her child died in vain, but imagine what that does to all the military families here who have to listen to it over and over." …..***

Nothing she can do to heal? I would like to think that no one knows the future that clearly that they could make such a despairing prediction.

Ya know, if this wouldn't be reported time and time and time and time and time and time and time again. Perhaps her family can convince her she's fighting the wrong battle and go home.

Ms Sheehan seems to be reveling in her cause.

This is about her and the attention she is receiving.

Her son's sacrifice has been the catalyst to this.

His death is her political soap box.

I see no military mom here.

I see a political activist.

She won't go away because she is not a nice person.

Just because she lost a son doesn't make her a nice person.

I have read on her website where she viciously attacks Bush's daughters no normal mother attacks someone elses kids.

Her rants are something out of a bad movie. But she knows how to play the game she goes on her rants online and at the leftist conventions and she knows the media will never show the true side of her. So she plays one game to the media and then another game to her wacko base support and the groups raising money over this.

We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation.

Typical shameless liberal behavior. Clinton used his dead mother as an excuse for fraudulently claiming losses of $22,000 in Whitewater.

DID BILL CLINTON MURDER HIS OWN MOTHER? (Repost) [Free Republic]

Here's the text Kellett singled out in his highlight: "At only his second press conference since taking office, Clinton astonished everyone by admitting he had drastically overstated his and Hillary's 'losses' in Whitewater. They did not lose $68,000, he fessed up. That figure was inflated by about $22,000-'because I had forgotten that I used the money to help my mother buy a cabin.'

Of course he was referring to the Lake Hamilton cabin where he had the orgy with the three skid row hookers. The president didn't mention that diversion. He did expand on the $22,000 he claimed to have 'given' his mother.

'I was wracking my brain to remember my investment,' and then he saw the light.

'I was reading and fact-checking the galleys for my mother's autobiography and realized then that I had borrowed that money to help her buy a home, that I didn't invest that [sum] in Whitewater.'"

Kellet then notes: "So he counted the $22,000 as a loss that he had mistakenly applied to Whitewater. A most logical inference follows, therefore, that his mother never paid him back after his supposedly wonderful deed of helping her."

Kellet then sums up. Referring to his mother's own autobiography which detailed the transactions, Kellet states:
"There was no loss. Clinton was paid back by her husband who bought his share (probably at a profit to Clinton) and his mother adds a bonus. It was she who helped buy the cabin for him-not the other way around..."

Kellett goes on to make three incisive observations about the darker side of Bill Clinton: "1. If any Clinton supporter has any doubts whatsoever about just how despicable a liar Clinton is, they don't have to be shown literature by people they will assume are right-wing, hate-mongering meanies like me or Carpozi. Here is the proof written by his own mother.

Round of applause for these parents.

And a silent tribute and prayer of thanks that they raised a son as impressive as Marc. Rest in peace, Devil Dog.

Did Mrs. Sheehan begin her anti-war activities before or after her son was killed?
