SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Three individuals who were seen videotaping the Santa Monica pier in a suspicious manner have been identified and were seen videotaping in other communities, police said Thursday.
The investigation began on July 22, when a member of the public who had taken still photographs of the three contacted the Santa Monica Police Department, according to Santa Monica Police Lt. Frank Fabrega.
The individuals have been identified, Fabrega said.
Police offered no other details other than to say that the department will take additional steps to increase police visibility throughout the city, including the pier and the Third Street Promenade.

If these are terrorist, the pier has no logistical purpose as a target, but if you had suicide bombers with nails and shrapnel in thier devices they could inflict "terror" into the Los Angeles area. You don't need a "lot" of casualties to get people upset. Crimony the death count of US KIA's is around 1,800 and to hear from the left you would think we have a tally like the 50,000 killed in three days at Gettyburg.
