Absolutely incorrect. People are "getting hammered by going to the store to purchase their items" under the flat tax (just like the present income tax), they're just not seeing it because the taxes are hidden.

And if you don't think there's a labor "black market" to avoid income and payroll taxes, then you're really fooling yourself.

The still get hammered at the cash register because the 24.65 that corporations pay are built into the price of their goods and services just like it is currently. Under the Fair tax there are no more embedded costs because companies no longer are taxed.

EVERYONE - THE FAIR TAX IS A ONCE-ONLY TAX AT THE CASH REGISTER.

You don't consider working under the table or not reporting some income to be black market activities? Please explain the difference between purchasing labor from an individual and pruchasing a product.
