I have a feeling that she will withdraw rather than ruin her White House bid in 2008.If she does withdraw, her only credentials will be that of a wife of an ex-President and a one term Senator. Not exactly Presidential timber even for a liberal........

Most conservatives I know would vote for the devil himself over Hillary Clinton. I just want her beaten. If a RINO is elected in the process, so be it. Our country can NEVER let HC become President. Well stated, sir, and I commend you for being both conservative yet pragmatic enough to know when it's essential to compromise hard-core conservative principles in search of an important victory.
But now I have a very (let me repeat for emphasis, VERY) hard question to ask of you. I will understand if you evade giving a direct answer.
Let us suppose that it is 2006, and Hillary is the democratic candidate for president. And let us _also_ suppose that her opponent on the Republican side is Rudy Giuliani.
If this becomes the choice, would you vote for Rudy?
If not, why not?

Thanks for the easy question. I don't mind telling anyone I'd vote for Giuliani over Hillary in a "New York" minute!

Hillary will not withdraw from the senate race. The Dems are not going to give up a sure seat. She would undermine her Presidential ambitions by withdrawing. She could, after winning (I have no doubt she will win), then withdraw ala Dole to work on the Presidential race. If the Dems elect a Dem governor to replace Pataki, he/she could then appoint a Dem to succeed Hillary.
Money is no problem for Hil and Bill. They will raise more money than any Presidential candidate(s) in history. She can easily refill her coffers after the senate race. The Dem primary will be a coronation.

All I want from Pirro is for her to get Hillary to commit to an entire term to serve the citizens of New York State This race will be more exciting than a run against Cox.

I've met Cox before. He does not have a chance.

With all due respect, if you can't see the difference, you must not see the big picture. It's like Pirro said, "The NY Senate seat is a stepping stone for Hillary," or better said, "It's always easier to get a job, when you've got a job."

Don't forget that 9/11 happened in New York. I speak as an outsider (but a conservative living in a blue state), but Pirro has a reputation and record of being hard on criminals and is seen as a protector of the innocent and the victims. In this category Hillary's a wannabe.
