At least Keith had the sense to say, leave the politics out of it but I guess this old fart saw a chance for some easy headlines. Remember "Sweet Black Angel" ? That would sure go over like a screen door on a submarines now.

"The song is from the new album, "A Bigger Bang,"
I think ol' Mick meant for the song to be "A Bigger Bong".
What a dumbass!

Didn't they have a farewell tour 20 years ago?

Maybe it does have a different meaning, I mean like, you know or something.

This will doom the Stones tour just like the Dixie Chicks anti-Bush comments doomed their tour.

HAH. I guess the folks at Ameriquest had a little chat with that liberal jackass.

why won't they just die, already?
For pete's sake, their concerts seem to consist of people my grandparents age hobblin' around, poppin their government subsidized viagra and shakin' their walkers to the beat......
it's become a friggin' parody...

I heard on the radio yesterday that the Rolling Stones just signed a big deal to do music for the NFL and Monday night football this season. This would be the place to let the powers be know what we think of them. Perhaps the NFL caught wind of this song yesterday and had a talk with their new/old rockers.

"How come you're so wrong? My sweet neo-con, where's the money gone, in the Pentagon," goes one refrain. The Stones as political commentators? They should stick to stuff like.....
"I met a, gin-soaked ballroom queen in Memphis."
"She tried to take me upstairs, for a ride...."

Lest we forget the outrageous inaccuracies of "Heartbreaker"
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)
The po-lice in New York City
They chased a boy right through the park
And in a case of mistaken identity
The put a bullet through his heart
Heart breakers with your forty four
I wanna tear your world apart
You heart breaker with your forty four
I wanna tear your world a part
A ten year old girl on a street corner
Sticking needles in her arm
She died in the dirt of an alleyway
Her mother said she had no chance, no chance!
Heart breaker, heart breaker
She stuck the pins right in her heart
Heart breaker, pain maker
Stole the love right out of you heart
Heart breaker, heart breaker
You stole the love right out of my heart
Heart breaker, heart breaker
I wanna tear your world apart
Doo, doo doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo...

By today's standards, that's fairly tame. Performers take a big risk when they do this in public. Some people may thing it's great, but there's going to be a lot of people who will think Jagger's a complete fool for not being to comprehend why we treat terrorists the way we do.

Hey... let's base all of our domestic and foreign policy on the wisdom of has-been rock stars.
Let's see...
Mick Jager could be our Drug Czar and head the WOD.
Alice Cooper could be Secretary of State.
Elton John could be Sec of Health, Education and Welfare.
Ok.. your turn. List your favorites.

There are places where they retire used up circus animals. It's time to find a place to retire used up rock and roll artists. Bob Barker, from "The Price is Right" has a Circus refuge for old elephants and tigers who can no longer perform. Let's find a place for The Rolling Stones to retire in dignity and get the hell ot of our lives.

I've noticed that white males that buy into the whole evil-halliburton-neocon thing have discernible lisps or are known homosexuals or bisexuals. Maybe it's a new gay religion they are trying to create.
