I don't see someone as far left as Rudy making it through the GOP primaries.

Maybe I'm a WEE bit too suspicious but I am noticing that the naysayers on Cheney on this thread are newbies.
I am as conservative as they come, and as long as Rudy had a conservative VP choice (Condi or other), I will vote for him.
People are more concerned about national security ...and yes, even the far right would ultimately vote for Rudy.
I think the right would have a tough time with McCain.
He has voted against most Republican initiatives and sided with the democrats. Kerry even wanted him for a running mate. SHeesh. McCain should "forget about it"
Rudy's problems is that his personmal life isnt commendable
